Patmos Hosting is committed to maintaining a safe environment for all users and employees. This Abuse Policy outlines our expectations, prohibited conduct, and procedures for addressing abuse.

A. Purpose

This policy establishes the framework for identifying, reporting, and responding to abusive behavior within our data hosting environment, including shared hosting, VPS, dedicated servers, and cloud infrastructure.

B. Scope

This policy applies to all users of our services, including:

  • Employees and contractors
  • Customers and clients
  • Platform users or members
  • Partners, vendors, and visitors
C. Prohibited Uses

The following activities are strictly prohibited on our network and infrastructure:

  1. Network Abuse
    a) Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks
    b) Port scanning or unauthorized access attempts
    c) Packet flooding or traffic amplification
  2. Illegal Content or Activity
    a) Hosting or distributing child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
    b) Promoting or conducting illegal activities (e.g., drug trafficking, human trafficking)
    c) Copyright infringement (including warez and pirated software)
  3. Spam and Phishing
    a) Sending unsolicited bulk emails (spam)
    b) Hosting or operating phishing websites
    c) Use of our infrastructure to collect or distribute compromised credentials
  4. Malware and Exploits
    a) Hosting viruses, ransomware, spyware, or trojans
    b) Distribution of software designed to harm or compromise systems

Reporting Abuse
Abuse complaints should be submitted via:

  • Email: abuse@patmos.tech
  • Online Form: Contact Us
  • Include: IP address, domain, timestamp, log excerpts, and a detailed description of the issue
D. Response Process

Upon receiving a report:

  1. We will acknowledge receipt within 24 hours
  2. We will investigate the complaint promptly
  3. If the report is valid, we may take actions such as:
    a) Suspending or terminating the service
    b) Notifying the customer and requesting corrective action
    c) Cooperating with legal authorities if required

Urgent cases (e.g., CSAM, DDoS) may result in immediate suspension.

E. Retention of Rights

Patmos Hosting reserves the right to:

  • Refuse service to anyone engaged in abusive activity
  • Amend this policy at any time
  • Share data with law enforcement if legally compelled
F. No Retaliation

We will not tolerate retaliation against individuals who report abuse in good faith. Retaliatory behavior may lead to suspension or account termination.
